Harry Potter Questionnaire

I saw this questionnaire on the Traveling Geek Show blog and wanted to do it as well. Enjoy~

1. What is your favorite book? Why?

I’ve only read the series once and that was about 6 (?) years ago so I don’t remember exactly how I felt about each book but I think I’m going to have to go with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It felt the most exciting to me, I love the beginning when everyone comes to bring Harry to 12 Grimmauld Place. And I love Tonks. I hope I’m remembering everything correctly, haha.

2. What is your favorite film? Why?

A tough question but maybe Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (I should actually say Philosopher’s) because I’m a sucker for the first in any series. It was also my introduction to the Harry Potter universe and everyone looks like such a baby and cute and ahh. Babies.

…..But I also really like Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban because Lupin. That’s enough of a reason to choose that movie as a favorite, right?

3. What is your least favorite book? Why?

Hmmmmmm. I don’t know if I have one. I’ll have to do a re-read to figure that out.

4. What is your least favorite film? Why?

Probably Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One because I didn’t have much of an emotional response. I’m trying to remember what happened in that film but I’m coming up blank? Or maybe Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince because of the awkwardness I kept feeling *cough* film!Ginny *cough*. (sorry) I’m a very indecisive person in case you couldn’t tell by now.

5. If you had to hook up with any character who would it be?

Older Dean Thomas because I mean…have you seen him?? Also maybe Lupin just because I love him a lot but maybe not because he belongs with Tonks. Also if we’re just doing this based on the books, maybe Bill Weasley.

6. Who is your favorite character? Why?

Luuuuuuuuuuuupin!!! I loved him when I saw The Prisoner of Azkaban and then I read him in the books and that sealed it. I feel so much for him and I remember fist pumping (alone) when Arthur was like “But she wants you.” because I was so happy for him and I wanted to smack him in the face a little so he could come to his senses. Then we all know what happened to him and Tonks. I had to put the book down for a long time before I could finish the series.

Can I sneak in Hagrid as well?

7. Who is your least favorite character? Why?

FUCKING UMBRIDGE. She’s that character I love to hate. She’s that character we all love to hate.

8. What is your least favorite line?

“HARRY DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE???????!!!!!!!”

9. What would your patronus be?

I think about this a lot and I always joke saying it would be a sloth but honestly I don’t know what my patronus would be. I feel like for most of the characters, their patronus was a surprise. I imagine mine to be an animal who is quiet but can turn vicious in a fraction of a second. I like the idea of having a panther patronus.

10. If you could have the Resurrection Stone, the Invisibility Cloak or the Elder Wand, which one would you choose?

Without a doubt the Invisibility Cloak. The other two come with too much drama and responsibility, I wouldn’t be able to handle it. I don’t know what I would do with the cloak but if I was in a candy store I definitley wouldn’t use it to only steal some poor kid’s lollipop (I’m looking at you, Harry).

11. Which house would you be in?

For years I assumed I’d be in Ravenclaw, I even had a friend back in high school who gave me a Ravenclaw scarf for my birthday. Then Pottermore happened and I was sorted into Hufflepuff and after my initial disappointment wore off I realized I am so Hufflepuff. There’s no denying it now.

12. If you could meet any member of the cast, who would it be?

I would honestly love to meet Daniel Radcliffe because he seems like such a genuine person. I remember back when he was on Broadway he would come out after each show to sign programs and take photos with fans. And there was ALWAYS a lot of people waiting for him, seriously, people crowded around an entire sidewalk just to get a glimpse of him. Daniel played one of the most popular characters in the world and I really admire how he’s continuing with his career.

13. If you were on the Quidditch team which position would you play?

Hahahahahaha, I would never make it on a Quidditch team let’s be real.

14. Were you happy with the ending?

I was… content with the ending. I think it would have been just as good if we were able to imagine what happened. And I’m sorry but the names of Harry and Ginny’s kids continue to make me a laugh.

15. How much does Harry Potter mean to you?

Harry Potter is definitely up there in my list of favorite fandoms but I wouldn’t say I’m the biggest fan. I do like it a lot and I totally choke up every time I listen to Hedwig’s Theme. I wasn’t one of the people who read the books as a kid, but I like the idea that so many kids quite literally grew up with the characters. It’s a great series and if I ever have children, I definitley see myself introducing them to it.
